"10 men wisely led can beat 100 without a head."
Throughout Aincrad you will have the opportunity to team up with various other players within the game. There are currently three different types of teams in Sword Art Online; Parties, Clans and Guilds. Each of these teams have certain requirements before you can set them up and each has their own benefits too.
I. Party
The most basic team in the world of Aincrad and the one that is formed the most often, a party is simply a team set up by two to four players of any level that will do jobs together. You can form a party right from Level 1 but besides security and making jobs easier, there are no other benefits to making a party. There is no required alignment for a Party.
Minimum Level: 1
Maximum Members: 4

II. Clan
Clans are formed by the more serious, but not yet higher-leveled players of the game. Clans can be formed for free by a single player who is at least Level 10 and they must be registered and approved before any bonuses come into play. Clans may consist of up to eight members regardless of their level. If members from the same clan go on a job together, they gain an additional 25% on top of the experience points given for completing that job. There is no required alignment for a Clan.
Minimum Level: 10
Maximum Members: 8
Bonuses Given: 25% EXP bonus upon Job completion
Alignment Needed?: No
III. Guilds
The largest and often most powerful teams in the game are called Guilds. These can only be set up by players who are at least Level 25 and cost 50,000 Col to set up. In order to form a guild the guild's master must obtain four signatures from players who are at least Level 20. Once the core members have signed up, the guild can then be officially registered and recognised, and can then recruit members of any level. Guilds initially consist of up to twenty members, but this can be increased over time. If members from the same Guild go on a job together, they gain an additional 50% on top of the experience points given for completing that job. Guilds must be aligned as either a Friendly Guild or a PK (Player Killer) Guild.
Minimum Level: 25 + four Level 20
Maximum Members: 20 (can be increased)
Bonuses Given: 50% EXP bonus upon Job completion
